Last Stop to Vermont !

 

Well finely made to Vermont after two Trains and a Bus.

The train I got on in North Carolina originated in Miami and was delayed three and a half hours due to a freight train derailment along their way.

That didn't really affect my train ride as I would've had a five hour layover in New York City which actually shortened my layover to two and a half hours which made it better for me.

That blue ball is the train on the way up from maps.

The last stop on the train was Albany-Rensselaer.

Then on the bus to continue my journey to Rutland

 Vermont.

 

Off to Rocky Start !

 Well I'd say I'm off to rough spot in my journey. The train was 3 and a 1/2 hours delayed. So seen as how I got to the train station a few hours early Anyway I was able to sleep in my truck until five in the morning, Before boarding the train.

Trip To Vermont

 Planning my up and coming trip to Vermont this spring and not by my normal mode of transportation (Ford Ranger) I'm going by Amtrak Train. Starting in Rocky Mount NC to Rutland VT I will going to my Timeshare at Cedarbrook Resort in Killington VT. Hoping to meet up with  my peeps for a mini family reunion Friends are welcome to come.  This is the start of a new journey, I'm about to embark on a trip that been on my bucket list for a while now. To travel across parts of the USA by train. So, my destination has to have a purpose. That purpose is to check my journey off that list and hopefully sell or gift my Timeshare at Cedarbrook lodge in Killington Vt. Although I normally travel by truck or boat. I like the ideal of a trip that doesn't require driving for two days. So my starting designation Is going to be close to my home base of Belhaven NC. that gives me a couple of choices to depart from. Taking into confederation parking of my truck for a week to ten days. My journey starts this April 5th thru the 15th.
